Jaipur Pink Rich / Statement Wellness Painting Theme

Jaipur Pink Rich pairs Gush Octane (PI021B) on the main walls with a Raffles Terracota limewash feature wall — a warm, medium-contrast pink earth scheme that feels romantic, sunlit. It suits the bedroom or dining room, and works with sandstone, cane, block print. Its warm undertone glows under 3000K warm white in the evening; under 5000K daylight bulbs it reads cleaner and less golden. Jaipur became known as the Pink City after its buildings were painted a welcoming terracotta pink in 1876 for the visit of the Prince of Wales, Albert Edward, at the behest of Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh.

Design history

History and meaning

Jaipur became known as the Pink City after its buildings were painted a welcoming terracotta pink in 1876 for the visit of the Prince of Wales, Albert Edward, at the behest of Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh. The pink civic identity was maintained and later codified in local planning controls. Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II on a geometric plan, the city set a model of planned Rajasthani urbanism. The theme carries sandstone, cane and block print into a pink-earth palette, so a living room reads as romantic and sunlit, rooted in a real civic tradition.

What it represents: It represents romantic, sunlit character through a pink earth palette and the recognisable visual language of Jaipur Pink.

Why it works here: Here, the smooth Gush walls and softly textured Raffles limewash give sandstone, cane, block print a coherent backdrop, making the theme practical for the home.

Colour wellness

How it feels at home

Octane on the main walls keeps the Jaipur Pink scheme richer, more anchored and practical for bedroom / dining. Terracota as the Raffles R.LIMEWASH feature wall gives a subtle mineral layer that fits sandstone, cane, block print. The softened colour temperature adds warmth and emotional comfort, while the limewashed focal wall keeps the palette mature instead of overly sweet.

Colours under different light

From warm evening to clear daylight

3000K · Warm white

Warmer and softer; creams, reds and timber undertones become more noticeable.

4000K · Neutral white

The most balanced view of the pairing, with warm and cool notes held evenly.

5000K · Daylight white

Cooler and clearer; blue, green and mineral-grey notes read more distinctly.

These are lighting representations, not exact paint samples. Room direction, daylight and furnishings affect the final result, so compare a physical sample at home before approval.

Soft or Rich
