Miami Art Deco Rich / Statement Wellness Painting Theme

Miami Art Deco Rich pairs Gush Octane (PI021B) on the main walls with a Raffles Hot Pink limewash feature wall — a cool, high-contrast jewel tone scheme that feels glamorous, geometric. It suits the dining room or lounge, and works with brass, velvet, dark marble. Its cool undertone stays crisp under 4000K–5000K light; very warm 2700K–3000K bulbs can make Hot Pink look greyer. Miami Art Deco flourished mainly in the 1930s, combining geometric Art Deco with the streamlined curves and nautical motifs of Streamline Moderne, set within the pastel and neon resort culture of South Beach.

Design history

History and meaning

Miami Art Deco flourished mainly in the 1930s, combining geometric Art Deco with the streamlined curves and nautical motifs of Streamline Moderne, set within the pastel and neon resort culture of South Beach. The Art Deco Historic District of Miami Beach, one of the largest concentrations of the style, was largely built between 1923 and 1943 and rescued from demolition by the preservation movement led by Barbara Capitman from the 1970s. The aesthetic favours brass, velvet and dark marble within a jewel-toned palette, so a living room reads as glamorous and geometric.

What it represents: It represents glamorous, geometric character through a jewel tone palette and the recognisable visual language of Miami Art Deco.

Why it works here: Here, the smooth Gush walls and softly textured Raffles limewash give brass, velvet, dark marble a coherent backdrop, making the theme practical for the home.

Colour wellness

How it feels at home

Octane on the main walls keeps the Miami Art Deco scheme richer, more anchored and practical for dining / lounge. Hot Pink as the Raffles R.LIMEWASH feature wall gives a subtle mineral layer that fits brass, velvet, dark marble. The cool cast helps reduce visual heat and keeps daylight feeling clear, while the limewashed focal wall adds calm depth without visual clutter.

Colours under different light

4000K · Neutral white

The most balanced view of the pairing, with warm and cool notes held evenly.

5000K · Daylight white

Cooler and clearer; blue, green and mineral-grey notes read more distinctly.
