Sicilian Soft / Airy Wellness Painting Theme

Sicilian Soft pairs Gush Lemonade (YE004A) on the main walls with a Raffles Sugar Terra limewash feature wall — a warm, medium-contrast citrus Mediterranean scheme that feels bright, expressive. It suits the kitchen or dining room, and works with patterned ceramic, dark timber, citrus accents. Its warm undertone glows under 3000K warm white in the evening; under 5000K daylight bulbs it reads cleaner and less golden. Sicilian draws on the layered architecture of Sicily, shaped over three millennia by Greek, Roman, Arab, Norman and Spanish rule.

Design history

History and meaning

Sicilian draws on the layered architecture of Sicily, shaped over three millennia by Greek, Roman, Arab, Norman and Spanish rule. The Arab-Norman architecture that flowered in Palermo in the twelfth century under Roger II fused Islamic geometric pattern, Byzantine mosaic and Latin planning, and is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage ensemble. Sicilian interiors carry patterned ceramic, dark timber and citrus accents within bright, expressive rooms. The theme favours that layered material culture within a citrus-mediterranean palette, so a living room reads as bright and expressive, rooted in a genuinely hybrid island tradition.

What it represents: It represents bright, expressive character through a citrus mediterranean palette and the recognisable visual language of Sicilian.

Why it works here: Here, the smooth Gush walls and softly textured Raffles limewash give patterned ceramic, dark timber, citrus accents a coherent backdrop, making the theme practical for the home.

How it feels at home

Lemonade on the main walls keeps the Sicilian scheme lighter, airier and practical for kitchen / dining. Sugar Terra as the Raffles R.LIMEWASH feature wall gives a subtle mineral layer that fits patterned ceramic, dark timber, citrus accents. The warm undertone makes the room feel settled and welcoming, while the limewashed focal wall adds sun-baked texture without making the home feel heavy.

Colours under different light

From warm evening to clear daylight

3000K · Warm white

Warmer and softer; creams, reds and timber undertones become more noticeable.

4000K · Neutral white

The most balanced view of the pairing, with warm and cool notes held evenly.

5000K · Daylight white

Cooler and clearer; blue, green and mineral-grey notes read more distinctly.

Soft or Rich

How Sicilian Soft differs from its twin

Sicilian Soft uses Gush Lemonade with Raffles Sugar Terra (medium contrast, bright, expressive). Its Rich twin swaps to Gush Mango with Raffles Blistering Sun (high contrast, bright, expressive). Pick Soft for a lighter, more open room, smaller HDB spaces or rooms with limited daylight; pick Rich if you want the wall to anchor the room.
