Yucatán Tropical Soft / Airy Wellness Painting Theme

Yucatán Tropical Soft pairs Gush Foliage (GR009A) on the main walls with a Raffles Minty Opulence limewash feature wall — a warm-neutral, high-contrast tropical green scheme that feels lush, resort-like. It suits the living room or balcony room, and works with rattan, teak, stone, foliage. Its warm-neutral undertone glows under 3000K warm white in the evening; under 5000K daylight bulbs it reads cleaner and less golden. Yucatan Tropical draws on the architecture and material culture of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, where colonial-era Merida townhouses, built with lime plaster, pasta tile floors and high ceilings for tropical ventilation, developed from the sixteenth century.

Design history

History and meaning

Yucatan Tropical draws on the architecture and material culture of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, where colonial-era Merida townhouses, built with lime plaster, pasta tile floors and high ceilings for tropical ventilation, developed from the sixteenth century. The henequen boom of the late nineteenth century funded grand mansions, and the region has since the 2000s seen their revival as contemporary residences. The aesthetic favours rattan, teak, stone and foliage within a tropical-green palette, so a living room reads as lush and resort-like, where Yucatecan tropical material defines a warm, open, characterful room.

What it represents: It represents lush, resort-like character through a tropical green palette and the recognisable visual language of Yucatán Tropical.

Why it works here: Here, the smooth Gush walls and softly textured Raffles limewash give rattan, teak, stone, foliage a coherent backdrop, making the theme practical for the home.

Minty Opulence as the Raffles R.LIMEWASH feature wall gives a subtle mineral layer that fits rattan, teak, stone, foliage. The green-influenced balance supports a restorative, plant-friendly mood, while the limewashed focal wall adds breathable mineral softness behind daily routines.
