Suzuka vs Raffles Paint Limewash: Which One Should You Choose?
Should I choose Suzuka or Raffles limewash in Singapore?
Raffles has about 40 warm-neutral shades and a soft cloudy mineral matte, suited to bedrooms and whole rooms. Suzuka Verosa has about 60 shades, deeper colours and stronger trowel texture for TV walls or hallways. Feature walls start from S,200 for Raffles and S,400 for Suzuka.
We're one of the very few Singapore contractors certified to apply both Suzuka and Raffles Paint limewash — so we don't have a brand to defend. Here's how they compare on the wall.
The short version
Pick Raffles for a soft, cloudy mineral matte with a wide warm-neutral palette — the most "European limewash" look that still survives SG humidity. Pick Suzuka (Strato) for a more pronounced trowel texture, deeper colours, and a slightly more architectural look. Both are real limewash.

Texture: cloud vs trowel
Raffles cross-brushes into a cloud-like soft matte — particularly good in bedrooms and behind sofas. Suzuka Verosa is applied with a steel trowel and finished with a brush, leaving obvious "movement" — what people want behind a TV console for visible texture in indirect lighting.
Colour
Raffles owns the warm-neutral middle ground — bone, oat, mushroom, clay, sage. Suzuka pushes deeper: rich charcoals, terracottas, mossy greens. If you want a black or deep aubergine feature wall, Suzuka is safer. For shade selection by orientation see our limewash colour guide.
Price
Suzuka generally costs ~10–15% more per square metre. Single accent wall: $150–$300 difference. Whole-flat: adds up. Full numbers in the limewash cost guide.
Our recommendation
For 70% of BTO/HDB requests, Raffles is the better fit — lighter, faster, holds the warm-neutral palette most clients ask for, and forgives small surface prep variations. We push Suzuka Verosa when the brief is "I want texture I can see" or "I want a deep, moody feature wall."
