What the designer asks
- Where the wall lives — living room, master bedroom, bedroom, dining, hallway, study or wet area.
- Home type — HDB, BTO, condo or landed, because wall build and ceiling height change the application.
- Light and orientation — north, south, east, west or not sure.
- The feeling you want — calm and quiet, warm and grounded, bright and airy, moody and intimate, earthy and natural, or gallery clean.
- What is already in the room — wood tones, whites, grey and concrete, black metal, natural fibres, or an existing strong colour.

Why undertone intensity matters more than the colour name
Most quotes stop at a colour name. Limewash does not work that way. The same Raffles "Mushroom" can be laid barely-there, so the wall reads as a soft matte until light rakes across it, or deep-set, so it carries obvious weight from the doorway. That decision is made by the number of passes worked and how wet the lime film stays — and it is what makes a wall feel calm rather than busy.
Singapore light forces the call. North light amplifies green and purple undertones, so a warm-leaning shade at soft intensity behaves better than a cool one. West light roasts warm shades orange after 4pm, so we either cool the shade one step or dial the undertone back.

What makes a customised limewash wall uniquely yours
A colour name is a starting point, not a finish. Because limewash is mixed and worked wet on site, the same Raffles or Suzuka Verosa shade can be laid three ways in three homes and read differently in each. Customising it means fixing four things together: the shade, how strongly its undertone is allowed to speak, the direction and rhythm of the trowel, and the sheen the sealer leaves behind.
We set those four against what is already in your room — the wood tone of the flooring, whether the sofa reads warm or cool, how much white is on the adjacent walls, and how the light moves across the wall through the day. That is why the brief you get back names your room, not a generic recommendation.
Choosing your limewash undertone for your lighting
Orientation decides the undertone before the shade does. North-facing walls in Singapore amplify green and purple casts, so a warm-leaning shade at soft intensity holds its calm where a cool one turns grey. West-facing walls take heavy afternoon sun that pushes warm shades orange after 4pm — there we cool the shade one step or hold the undertone back to barely-there. South and east light carry medium intensity comfortably, which is where the deeper Suzuka Verosa tones look their best.

Raffles or Suzuka Verosa for your room
Both ranges are customised the same way, but they carry different weight. Raffles Paint suits soft warm-neutral cloud finishes — bedrooms, hallways and any wall that should recede. Suzuka Verosa carries deeper, more saturated colour and stronger hand-trowelled movement, which is what a feature wall behind a sofa or a bedhead usually wants.
