Limewash Bedroom Ideas Singapore: 9 Looks That Actually Work in SG Light
Inspiration board for limewash bedrooms in Singapore HDB and condo homes — the feature-wall and full-room palettes our clients keep coming back for. Each look notes the shade family, brand, and roughly what it costs to apply.
How to read these ideas
Bedrooms are the easiest room in a Singapore flat to limewash — low traffic, no wet zones, controlled lighting. Most of the looks below are single feature walls behind the bed (From $1,200 applied) but a few wrap the whole room (From $1,800 for a standard HDB master).
Look 01 — Warm Cream Cocoon (above)
Shade family: Warm off-white with golden undertone. Brand: Raffles Paint "Cloudbreak" or Suzuka Strato "Sand Drift". Best for: West-facing HDB bedrooms where afternoon light is already warm — the limewash deepens it instead of fighting it. Cost: From $1,200 for a single feature wall.
Look 02 — Greige Japandi
Shade: Cool greige (grey + beige). Reads as warm white in daylight, soft taupe at night. Brand: Suzuka Strato "Misty Stone". Pairs beautifully with raw oak headboard and black linen. Cost: From $1,200 feature wall, From $2,100 full HDB master.
Look 03 — Soft Clay Pink
Shade: Muted terracotta-pink, the kind that doesn't read as childish at night. Brand: Raffles Paint "Dawn Clay". Most popular with our condo clients in their 30s. Pairs with brass sconces and white linen. Cost: From $1,400 feature wall (deeper pigments need a third partial coat).
Look 04 — Charcoal Drama
Shade: Deep charcoal with subtle cloudy variation. Cocoon effect — best behind the bed in master bedrooms with good natural light. Brand: Suzuka Strato "Stormcloud". Not recommended for small dim rooms. Cost: From $1,500 feature wall.
Look 05 — Sage & Linen
Shade: Pale sage green. Reads as a near-neutral but adds calm. Brand: Raffles Paint "Quiet Sage". Beautiful with rattan, raw wood, and linen drapes. Popular for kids' rooms growing into teen rooms. Cost: From $1,200.
Look 06 — Warm White Wraparound
Shade: Soft warm white with the subtlest variation. The "I want texture but my partner is conservative" answer. Brand: Either brand in their lightest off-white. Goes on all four walls + plain white ceiling. Cost: From $1,800 for a standard HDB master, From $2,100 condo master.
Look 07 — Deep Olive Headboard Wall
Shade: Saturated olive green with golden undertone. Reads as luxe-vintage. Brand: Raffles Paint "Olive Grove". Excellent with walnut furniture and brass. Cost: From $1,500.
Look 08 — Soft Lavender Mist
Shade: Barely-there lavender that looks grey-white in cool morning light, faintly purple in evening warm light. Brand: Suzuka Strato "Morning Mist". Subtle, romantic, doesn't date. Cost: From $1,200.
Look 09 — Burnt Sienna Accent
Shade: Deep burnt orange / sienna with cloudy texture. Bold but earthy — not "Halloween orange". Brand: Raffles Paint "Sienna Earth". Strong choice if you have white floors and a lot of natural greenery (plants) in the room. Cost: From $1,500.
Choosing for SG light direction
- North-facing bedrooms (cooler, blue-grey daylight) → warm cream, clay pink, sienna. Avoid grey or sage.
- South-facing (warm, golden daylight) → greige, sage, olive, lavender all balance the warmth.
- East-facing (bright morning, dim afternoon) → most palettes work; charcoal looks best here.
- West-facing (intense afternoon glare) → warm whites and creams; deep saturated shades will read brassy.
